Unlock Your Team’s Potential: Lead with Purpose in 2025
Discover Strengths and Growth Opportunities with Our Values Assessment
There’s something magical about a new year, isn’t there? It’s your chance to hit reset, reflect, and realign—not just for yourself, but for your entire leadership team. You know that when your leadership team starts the year with purpose and alignment, they are setting the tone for your organization, creating a ripple effect of positive change that touches your staff, residents, and their families.
You are transforming lives!!! No pressure at all…ha!
Seriously, your leadership team sets the tone for your entire organization. They don’t just carry out policies—they’re either elevating the lives or unintentionally diminishing the well-being of staff and residents. Ooofff! That’s heavy stuff but it’s true.
When Leadership Team alignment is off YOU feel it and they feel it. Am I right or am I right?
When your leaders aren’t working together:
- Your leadership team starts bickering with each other.
- Employees feel the brunt of this tension, and turnover rises.
- Your big, bold vision feels further and further out of reach.
Any of that sound familiar? So how do you start turning things around?
By bolding these terms, you emphasize the key concepts of leadership impact, alignment, and the negative effects of disconnection, making the message more engaging and persuasive!
How Big is Your Impact?
The first step is to reflect as a team on the ripple effect of your leadership.. This exercise will help you all (or as my Southern friends would say, “all y’all”) connect with the lives you are impacting:
- Who do you influence daily? Write down the groups impacted by your decisions—your staff, residents, and their families. Perhaps the greater community. Think broad: the people driving on the roads when your staff leave work because frustrated people don’t make the kindest drivers!
- What emotions do you want to inspire? Think about how you want people to feel when interacting with you and the leadership team. If someone was talking to their friend about you, what emotions would you want them sharing? Are they talking about how inspired or frustrated they feel at work?
- What’s one behavior you can change or amplify to create that impact? Commit to a specific action that sets a positive tone for the year ahead. Can you commit to having one conversation per week with an employee over coffee? Could you schedule 11 minutes in your calendar a few times a week to walk around and only point out the positive that you see?
Leadership alignment doesn’t just happen—it requires intention. If your team could use a bit of help with alignment, Drive’s Leadership Team Values Assessment (LTVA) is your secret weapon! Think of it as your leadership GPS—it helps you chart the path to clarity, connection, and culture-building.
By asking just three questions, the team will be able to:
- Celebrate Strengths: Recognize what your leadership team does well. This positive focus sets the tone for growth.
- Understand Dynamics: Explore how your leadership team operates currently and how the team wants to operate.
- Create a Roadmap: Use LTVA insights to build a plan that aligns your team with your values and long-term goals.
Your leadership touches lives every day. The people you serve deserve a team that leads with clarity, and you deserve to feel aligned with your purpose, surrounded by a team that shares your vision.
